what to expect at your filler appointment
-
Book your filler appointment at least two weeks before any special event, as redness, swelling, or bruising can occur during that time.
-
Avoid dental cleanings within two weeks of your appointment and any dental procedures within four weeks prior to treatment.
-
To help reduce bruising or bleeding, consider stopping aspirin use 3–7 days before and after treatment. Always consult your primary care provider before discontinuing any medication.
-
Refrain from alcohol, caffeine, and smoking for 24–48 hours before and after your appointment, as these can increase the likelihood of bruising and swelling.
-
Inform your provider if you have a history of cold sores; preventative antiviral medication may be recommended.
-
Ensure there is no active infection or rash in the treatment area at the time of your appointment.
-
Treatment is not recommended if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
