what to expect at your appointment
-
Schedule your appointment at least 1–2 weeks before any special event, as mild redness or sensitivity may occur after treatment.
-
Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, and self-tanners for at least 2 weeks prior to treatment. Skin should be as close to your natural tone as possible.
-
Apply broad-spectrum SPF 30+ daily to protect the treatment area.
-
Shave the treatment area 24 hours before your appointment. Do not wax, pluck, or use depilatory creams for at least 2–4 weeks prior, as the hair root must be intact.
-
Avoid active skincare ingredients (such as retinoids, AHAs, BHAs, and benzoyl peroxide) on the treatment area for 3–5 days before treatment.
-
Ensure the skin is clean and free of lotions, oils, deodorant, or makeup on the day of your appointment.
-
Inform your provider of any medications you are taking, especially those that may increase photosensitivity (e.g., certain antibiotics or acne medications).
-
Treatment cannot be performed on areas with active infections, rashes, or open wounds.
-
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please consult your provider prior to booking treatment.
